Blood Stem Cell Registration Drive
10:00 am - 12:00 pm Roger A. Reynolds Municipal Park, Veterans Memorial Drive, Hilliard, OH, USASigning up to be a life saving blood stem cell donor is as easy as a cheek swab, and you can do it right here in Hilliard on May 14!
Every year, nearly 18,000 people in America are diagnosed with life-threatening blood cancers or other diseases for which a blood stem cell transplant may be their best or only hope for a cure. Approximately 70 percent of these individuals need donors from outside their families.
This blood stem cell registration drive is being held to support a Hilliard boy named Peyton who has Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. Peyton need a stem cell transplant, and drives like this help connect donors to both children and adults hoping for a cure.
On May 14, follow the signs at Roger A. Reynolds Municipal Park, fill out a form, and complete a cheek swab from your car. Taking theses simple steps will register you with the stem cell database.
Registering is easy and free for those ages 18 to 55 who are in good health.
