Free Comic Book Day Event
11:00 am - 4:00 pm Pacrat ComicsFree Comic Book Day (FCBD) is an annual celebration of comics and pop culture at Packrat Comics and this year we celebrate on May 7. There’s over 50 different Free Comic Books this year so come join the fun and find your favorites and maybe a new favorite for your friend too.
This year we are encouraging you to bring a friend to share your joy in our Best Friends Day celebration.
Greg Carter, one of our best friends, was a life long fan of comics and a huge supporter of everyone’s geeky inner fandom. He was always giving away comics to friends and family trying to spread his love of comics and enthusiasm of life to everyone he met.
Every new friend was brought into the comic shop to share in his joy. Greg was at every event we hosted meeting new people and making more friends. If you’ve been to any Packrat event, you’ve met Greg.

Greg passed in December 2019 and we planned to honor him during our 2020 event. Then the pandemic and everything changed. 2022 is the first return to FCBD on the first Saturday in May so we’re bringing back the full celebration and our original plans to honor of one of the comic industry’s largest fans.
As a big fan of Booster Gold we are celebrating this FCBD as a best friends day to encourage our comic fans to bring a friend and share the fun and joy of comics that Greg brought to so many.
We’ve got a SKEETS BALL machine, scratch off to win a drone (since there’s no real Skeets) tickets, Booster & Blue Beetle stand ups for pictures and we’re working on more. And you don’t want to miss the biggest unveiling in honor of Greg!
Life is too short – Greg taught us to share it with a friends and enjoy the cake.
