Inspiration at the Station
9:00 am - 5:00 pm Hilliard's Station ParkFrom 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Monday, January 18, Hilliard’s Station Park will be transformed into a temporary memorial honoring Dr. Martin Luther King. The community is invited to take 17 minutes (the length of Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech) to reflect upon his legacy. Visitors will have the opportunity to view quotes and facts about his life and listen to the “I Have a Dream” speech.
While you’re in Old Hilliard, bring a reflection or dream of your own to drop off in the “I Have a Dream Mailbox” at the newly dedicated Merchant Park, formerly known as the Heritage Rail Trail trailhead. Use this as an opportunity to journal or privately reflect upon Dr. King’s teachings. We encourage you to leave a dream of your own or thoughts about his legacy. The “I Have a Dream Mailbox” submissions will not be made public.
