The Columbus Coffee Festival
The Columbus Coffee Festival began in 2016 as a means of connecting coffee roasters with coffee fans throughout Ohio and the broader Midwest region. Organized by Columbus Underground, the festival has seen a steady climb in popularity and scale in the years since its conception. In 2023, the Columbus Coffee Festival observed its largest turnout yet. Over 8,500 coffee fans came to sample coffees and teas from more than 40 roasters hailing from various Midwest states.
This year, the Columbus Coffee Festival hopes to attract even more coffee fans and roasters to its October 5th and 6th event. Tickets are available in a number of varieties to give attendees more enjoyment options. Attendees can choose between two types of tickets, two-day and single-day. After determining which of these options is preferred, attendees can then pick a ticket based on their desired time slot (9 am - 2 pm, 11 am - 2 pm, or 3 pm - 6 pm). The single-day “Very Caffeinated Person” ticket tier features a 9 am - 6 pm time allotment for the most dedicated coffee enthusiasts. Each ticket comes with a collectible mug to use throughout the festival in addition to coffee and tea sampling during the ticket’s allotted time.
Additionally, local musicians, artists, and poets will be peppered throughout the festival. Other experiences, such as coffee-inspired tattoos, axe-throwing, a goat petting zoo, massages, and much more will also be available to attendees.
This year, Destination Hilliard is proud to be one of the Columbus Coffee Festival’s sponsors. Other sponsors include the Franklin County Fairgrounds, Snowville Creamery, Chobani, and Experience Columbus. Where previously, the event had taken place at the Ohio Village, this year, the popularity of the festival warranted the move to a new venue: the Franklin County Fairgrounds. Parking for the event is free and can be found in the lot across from the main gate at the fairgrounds.
