The Makoy Center located in Old Hilliard has 3 event spaces available for booking. These spaces are equipped to handle anything from an intimate family gathering to a large-scale wedding celebration. Their staff will be able to help you select a space which is suited to your needs. Their spaces are suitable for accommodating 35 to 1,800 guests. The Makoy Center will take care of the details, so you can relax and enjoy the day. No need to worry about things such as decorations or audio/visual equipment. Their professional and dedicated staff will work closely with you throughout the day to ensure that your event goes off without a hitch, from start to finish. The Makoy Center is the perfect venue for your next luncheon, trade show, awards & recognition banquet, fundraiser, training event, corporate meeting, or holiday party. The Makoy Center offers free parking with over 200 spaces in their main lot, and two additional lots with plenty of space for your event. They also provide complete catering, as well as audio/visual equipment including microphones, projectors, screens and free Wi-FI is available for your guests to use.

The Franklin County Agricultural Society has three primary buildings that can be rented for various special events, parties, vendor shows, classrooms or product shows during non-fair time. These buildings are not available during the month of July as they are preparing for the annual Franklin County Fair. The Burke Building includes an arena that can accommodate livestock shows, horse shows or many other events. The Edwards Building is 60’ x 120’, approximately 7200 square feet. The Edwards Building has a concrete floor, restrooms with heat and air conditioning. The maximum capacity would be 640 people with seating capacity is 490. The Ganyard Building is 48’ x 120’, approximately 5760 square feet. The Ganyard Building has a concrete floor, restrooms with heat and air conditioning. The maximum capacity would be 540 people with seating capacity of 400. The Burke Building is 200’ x 220’, approximately 44000 square feet. The Burke Building has asphalt floors in part of the building with a dirt floor arena in the middle. There are restrooms and bleachers. The building is not heated. The Burke Building is only available for rental from April thru October, not including July. The Franklin County Agricultural Society has one other building that can be rented for various events and two areas that can also be rented for outdoor events, 5K runs or product shows during non-fair time. The Dellinger Building is 50’ x 100’, approximately 5000 square feet. The Dellinger Building has an asphalt floor with no restrooms or heat. The Franklin County Fairgrounds also has over 40 acres of land that can be rented for 5K runs, festival events and outdoor craft shows.

How about an 1800’s Historical Village that includes an authentic log cabin, one-room schoolhouse, chapel, original “Hilliards” Train Station, caboose, election wagon, privy, barn, granary, covered bridge and museum. The Hilliard Historical Society’s Historical Village at Weaver Park includes the Colwell Church that is available for weddings and other special events April 1 through November 30. The pews in the church can seat up to 110 guests. New to the park is the recently constructed Norwich Pavilion. The Pavilion is great for Wedding Ceremonies, Receptions, Graduation or Birthday Parties and Reunions. It seats 132 guests. Also available at Weaver Park is the Gazebo, ideal for pictures and music concerts. Additionally, the SBC Pavilion at the corner of Norwich St. and Columbia St.  and next to the Hilliard Historical Society’s Archival building is perfect for music concerts, scout functions, family gatherings, etc.
