Heritage Day presented by the Hilliard Historical Society

Bringing the past to life…

Take in 1800’s period costumes as traditional crafters and artisans such as blacksmiths, broom makers and Civil War re-enactors bring the 1800’s to life. Village tours, bean soup prepared in a pot on the Village Green plus other food and drink options plus a bake sale to benefit the Hilliard Historical Society.

While attending Heritage Day, visit the restored buildings on the grounds of historic Weaver Park, an 1850 period village consisting of a One-Room Schoolhouse (built 1891), Log Cabin (circa 1850), Colwell Church (built 1876), Train Station (built 1899), Caboose (built 1920), Kuhn Barn (built 1870), Voting Wagon (circa 1920), Lattice Covered Bridge (reproduction circa 19th Century), Granary (circa 1850) , Antique Car Barn (Model A car & Model T Truck), Norwich Pavilion (reproduction circa 19th century) and Historical Museum (containing artifacts and displays dating back to the 1800s).

There will also be food, drink and special events as part of Heritage Day.
