Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream

On a hot summer day in July of 1945, Alice Handel began serving ice cream in Youngstown, Ohio. With the finest ingredients, she made her ice cream one batch at a time using personal recipes and fresh fruit from her garden.

Today, over 70 years later, Handel’s in Hilliard upholds the traditions Alice started all those years ago. From making each batch fresh daily to using her original methods and recipes, they are still sharing their signature homemade ice cream and serving the community one scoop at a time.

Coffee Connections

Coffee Connections started as a catering company with a mobile coffee cart in 2014. They opened at their current location in the heart of downtown Old Hilliard on September 10, 2016. This locally owned and -operated coffee shop has a wide array of teas and coffee drinks. Be sure to save room for their nice selection of muffins, doughnuts, and scones. Coffee Connections has a strong passion for coffee and for people; combining the two has been their dream! They focus on always delivering you a quality cup of coffee, and on building a relationship with each of their customers.

UPDATE: Their patio is open; also moving to mobile orders. They’re keeping the building closed, and using their porch to deliver your order!
